The construction is very solid with a single-handed release at the pfd. The elastic cords reduce change of snagging and interference with activities. Originally selected a similar Spinlock tether, but with supply issues, Binnacle was able to provide this option instead. Very supportive and appreciated their customer service...

Product is very good and well made and hardware is excellent quality. Be aware that rod holder is NOT included, as the photos all show it and the description says no additional hardware required...

I bought this configuration minus the pump as I reused a pump that was installed in the old unit. The best feature of this unit was simply how easy it was to install. I chose to install this unit since it stated it did not need a rudder reference unit. Initially, I ran into issues with software incompatibility as the version that was shipped with the acu was ver 3.11 and was found to have problems operating without a rudder feedback unit. It took a little research and calls to raymarine to determine this. Now here\'s where an issue popped up. You \"cannot\" update the Raymarine components without an MFD. So, you have to either find a local dealer/service provider or ship the hardware back to your reseller for updating. The only dealer in my geography did not have an MFD to loan or available in the shop to perform the updates. Raymarine should make this a mandatory requirement for their dealer network. I recommend this unit. I reached out to Binnacle, Tony, specifically, who reached out to Raymarine and they sent me an MFD to update my various components. The update process was very simple and only took about 20 minutes. With the system updated, their was a vast improvement in the performance, but based on my research and discussions with tech support, I suspect a RFU (rudder feedback unit) will provide even better performance. I have to say the support provided by Tony was great and appreciated, and kudos to raymarine for stepping up with the loaner MFD. Regards..

Great product by the Swiss specialty chemical company that supplies to the building sector and motor vehicle and boating industries. I bought it at Binnacle directly for their competitive price and relatively quick shipping. Glad to encourage à Canadian distributor for change. I used the 292i on the recommendations of my trimaran boat manufacturer to seal and fix a cockpit hatch that were not properly installed in the factory. The 292i is easy to use stable it does not drip out of the Applicator gun. I also use it to seal around Garmin Charts plotter that I installed in the cockpit deck. I look forward to see how it hold with time and the UV...

In use for many years now.
Excellent item....
Recommended as so easy to install.
.
It is necessary to keep dust off the warm side pr it will use more amps.
Clean once a year with compressed air in a can available at computer stores or even Canadian Tire for ten bucks.
Over ten years of use and only problem was a loose wire.
Add insulation to make the unit more efficient.
We have over 4 inches...

I have an older Dickinson diesel heater and LOVE it! The Dickinson people have been super helpful when I need some help.
On the basis of my experience, I can highly recommend the diesel heater to any one who might be thinking of it...
