I use the knife exclusively in a saltwater environment - any mild surface corrosion can be buffed off. I'm sure there would be no corrosion if I religiously cleaned/rinsed it after use - usually I just put it back in the cover and move on. If you are cutting a lot of poly I would suggest getting a round diamond sharpener.

The handles size and shape allows for a secure ergonomic grip (my gloves are men M/L).

I fastened my knife to the lash tab on my pfd (why do so few pfd's have these??) using zip ties for a clean and secure fit. Without question I can release this knife fast and securely - a folding knife is no substitute. Another user noted the difficulty of disengaging the lock mechanism for use. Maybe this is due to the placement of the knife on the pfd, because I find it secure yet easy to release, even with gloved hands.

A great knife - my colleagues have asked for the make/model.

Excellent cutting blade and cutting edge

Pro: Solid knife blade and cutting edge. Solidly in the holder!

Con: Ironically, for me, the con is that it is very solidly in the holder. You need to really squeeze and then pull hard to release it. However, I had to return this knife because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to release this knife during an emergency. Perhaps if this was my first knife, I would be used to the force needed but release it but my current knife requires little effort (a squeeze-lock knife as well but doesn't require as much effort.)

Also, I'm not sure if it can be mounted to a Mustang pfd. My current knife has the attachments so it's been snug on my pfd for year.

No, I wouldn't recommend. Sorry. I really wanted this knife too.
