The Davis motor caddy is well priced for what it is and is readily available from most marine outfitters. That being said it's construction uses very light webbing, only time will tell how well this will hold up. The caddy was purchased to allow me to lift my 15 Hp 4 stroke mercury, it is a very tight fit and the included safety strap is not long enough to fit my motor. Luckily my son was able to make me a longer safety strap from very good quality webbing and it should work well. This unit will work well with 2 strokes up to 15hp but with 15 hp 4 strokes it will depend on the size and shape of your power head.
