The right product for the job…
That's Sika's approach to
sealing and bonding in
commercial and recreational
Marine. Instead of a "one-
sealant fits all" approach, Sika
provides a systematic
approach to determining the
best sealing and bonding
solution. They manufacture a
variety of specialty sealants
and adhesives like Sikaflex
291 and 291LOT (Long Open
Time) for general sealing and
bedding projects. For high
tech applications, Sika
supplies Sikaflex-295UV for
plastic window bonding and
Sikaflex 292 for high strength
elastic bonding which actually
replace mechanical fastening
systems.
A complete sealing kit with Sika 291 White or Black multifunctional adhesive sealant. Comes with all the primers and supplies needed for interior and exterior sealing applications.
Used to improve adhesion of Sikaflex adhesives and sealants on non-porous substrates such as metals, plastics, ceramic screen prints and painted surfaces.
Sika Primer-209 N is a black pigmented low-viscosity liquid that dries by reaction with atmospheric moisture. It is used to prime painted surfaces and plastic substrates prior to bonding with Sikaflex products. Critical for the successful use of Sikaflex -295UV.
Non-sag one component polyurethane sealant. Used by boat builders, its fast 45-minute open time makes it ideal for applications where speed is important.
Sika-Primer 206 G+P is a moisture-sensitive, black liquid for the use on glass as a black out or on metals as a rust inhibitor. Bonds faces prior to the application of Sika's 1-component Polyurethanes.
One component, marine-grade polyurethane elastomeric adhesive, and sealant. It is a moisture-cured, non-sag system designed with a long open time for more time-consuming installations.
Tenacious assembly adhesive for marine applications. Bonds well to a wide variety of substrates and is capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses. Elastic with good gap filling properties which can be overpainted.
One component polyurethane direct glazing adhesive for plastic windows in the marine environment. Specially developed for use to bond and seal organic glass on boats and ships.
