The publication contains the first forty-six (46) Notice to Mariners of each year, with information on the aids to navigation system in Canada, pilotage services, marine communications and traffic services, search and rescue, marine occurrences and pollution, marine protected areas, fishing activity, national defence notices and a variety of general information regarding marine navigation safety.
This publication is the means employed by the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) to provide information pertaining to various regulations, naval firing practice and exercise areas, as well as various marine services, to ensure the safety of a vessel along its intended route.
NOTE: The new edition is typically released by April 30 annually.
