It consists of a husky stainless steel bracket and clamp and a 4-1/2" long nylon coated aluminum cleat. It easily mounts to 7/8" or 1" diameter stanchion or rails with the included hose clamp.
Gripping surface features diagonal ribs rather than textured abrasive materials to maximize gripping power and greatly reduce line wear. Strong, lightweight composite roller bearings bushings have excellent corrosion resistance and don't require lubrication.
The vane is permanently attached to the stake while the plastic base easily slides in and out of the bow eye fairlead, held in place for sailing with the stake. Simple to install and remove after sailing.
