The RNS-5 is simple to install and requires no complicated setup. Multi-station video data is quickly distributed to other RayNet equipment to allow sharing of cartography (between compatible displays), digital radar data and sonar data.
Panel front is IP66 when mounted with the gasket in place - protected against powerful water jets. Includes a 15A circuit breaker switch and a pre-wired harness with dual USB and a 12V Charging Socket. Also, it has a Mini OLED Voltmeter and the integrated circuit breaker prevents a parasitic draw.

When carried with a Type Approved Smoke Signal, Transport Canada recognizes that an electronic visual distress signal device (eVDSD) can be carried instead of flares or a watertight flashlight if the eVDSD has been accepted by the United States Coast Guard.
