The Newport Solid Fuel Heater is a small stainless steel solid fuel heater designed for casual use. It's ideal for boats 20-25'. This heater burns one to two 1" thick wood or presto log, a handful of charcoal briquettes or coal.
Constructed of injection molded acetal this thru hull with scupper valve mounts through the transom and provides a water exit for boats with self-bailing cockpits.
It consists of a husky stainless steel bracket and clamp and a 4-1/2" long nylon coated aluminum cleat. It easily mounts to 7/8" or 1" diameter stanchion or rails with the included hose clamp.
When carried with a Type Approved Smoke Signal, Transport Canada recognizes that an electronic visual distress signal device (eVDSD) can be carried instead of flares or a watertight flashlight if the eVDSD has been accepted by the United States Coast Guard.
