It was purchased to raise and lower the mast on my Tanzer 26.
This block has sturdy construction with thick stainless steel cheeks. This feature was primordial , as steel deforms before breaking compared to plastic which will break catastrophically.
With a sheave of 50mm diameter, its working and breaking loads capacity met my requirements.
It can accept a 12mm rope.
The locking mechanism on the swivel head is easy to operate.
I have not put it to use yet, but it compares well to other blocks I own...

I am very happy with this vent, very quiet. - installed easly into the previous nicro vent we had. We0 highly recommend to everybody...

This set of clutches is solid, secure and smooth. The feel is really good. (The crew is much happier). The only improvements I would make are a paper template for drilling the holes and some advice on getting the 3 front bolts in their proper position (not a big deal but a little frustrating for about 10 minutes). Really happy we got this installed...

Bought a pair of these to replace the original Meissner 2-speed (but non-self-tailing) primaries on my Mirage 33. Installation was straightforward. There are two options: an inner circle of 5 threaded holes into which you screw, from below, M6 screws, or an outer circle for which you use hex-head M6 bolts - the bolt heads fit into recesses that prevent them from turning as you tighten the nuts from below. I used the second option; the winch's skirt is easily removed and can be used as a template for the holes.
A great product, as Harken stuff tends to be, and looks as though it will be simple to service.

This winch handle is a great addition to the boat, I would highly recommend the upgrade form ANY previous design!..
