Has a nice feel in the hand. Fairly easy to read.
The lubber line is easily moved and the paper tool provided to align it is a bit of a joke, but realigning by hand is easy enough and probably just as accurate.
Never was a fan of stout cords around the neck. I've no desire to test the breaking strength of the cord using my neck. Easily fixed: pop the compass out of its rubber case and bend the ends to a paperclip (or whatever). Ta-da.
It's more of a casual bearing tool; not as accurate as the bigger bearing compasses but for its small size and handiness I do recommend this item.
