Shock absorption comes from a suspension travel of 4 inches vertical, and 1-1/2 inches forward that mitigate deceleration associated with wave impact.

The S5 is applicable to vessels with planing hulls that are capable of reaching speeds over 20 knots. More specifically, vessels 16 feet or longer such as aluminium fishing boats, bay boats, center consoles, walkarounds, or RHIB's. The list is long.

How easy is it to adjust the S5?

Shock pressure is initially set with a hand pump however dampening (stiffness) can be adjusted on the fly. The S5 has a soft,medium and firm setting which can be adjusted with the flick of a switch. These three settings cover a very wide range of occupant weights and sea conditions.

Does the S5 offer Swivel or Slide options?

Shockwave offers a high end swivel slide option that can be special ordered, however there are several off the shelf swivels and sliders that are compatible with the S5.
