The LVS42HD is optimized to deliver incredible image clarity for castable distances up to 125 feet. Compared to previous generations, it introduces massive improvements in target separation and picture resolution, helping anglers track fish, identify structures, and watch their bait react in real time with near-zero latency.

Key Technical Features
Short-Range Clarity: Delivers 50% more near-range detail and up to 20% greater resolution over the prior LiveScope generation. It is designed to maximize target separation when fish are close to the boat or structure.

No Black Box Required: Unlike older LiveScope systems that required a separate GLS 10 black box module, the LiveScope 2 Series transducers connect directly to compatible Garmin multi-function displays (MFDs) and a power source. This drastically simplifies installation and cleans up boat wiring.

Three Sonar Viewing Modes: The transducer supports three quick-adjust viewing angles using the included mounts:

Forward Mode: Shows what is directly in front of your boat and slightly below.
Down Mode: Homes in on targets directly underneath the boat (ideal for vertical jigging).
Perspective Mode: Provides an expansive, top-down view of shallow water.

Integrated Stabilization & Sensors: Features built-in Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS image stabilization) to keep your sonar view completely steady on your chartplotter, even in heavy chop. It also includes an integrated water temperature sensor and an automatic out-of-water shutoff sensor that disables the sonar beam the moment the transducer is lifted out of the water.
