Actisense NGX-1-ISO NMEA 2000 Dual Gateway

The NGX-1 is an intelligent multi-function gateway, combining the power of Actisense's two previous generations NGT-1 and NGW-1 products into one cost-effective, flexible product.

Configure the NGX-1 to operate as an NMEA 2000 - PC interface or as a bi-directional NMEA 0183 - NMEA 2000 conversion gateway.

_{NGX-1-USB: equipped with a USB cable for plug-and-play connectivity with a PC. (see our 15570)}
_{NGX-1-ISO: equipped with a bare wire open-ended cable, allowing for connectivity to an NMEA 0183 device, or Serial Port / DB-9.)}

_{The most common scenario for using an NGX is connecting legacy NMEA 0183 equipment into modern NMEA 2000 systems.}

_{A perfect example is a vessel with NMEA 0183 GPS, Wind and Depth sensors, but there's also an NMEA 2000 network with MFDs.}

_{Converting and outputting the NMEA 0183 data as NMEA 2000 PGNs is required to get the data onto the MFD. The NGX will receive, convert and transmit NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 data bi-directionally.}

_{Cost is the primary benefit here, as an NGX costs only a fraction of an NMEA 2000 GPS, for example. Save money, time and space by using an NGX and leaving your existing legacy equipment in place.}

_{Connecting to a PC}

_{On-board computers running applications such as TimeZero are becoming more common. To get the data into these NMEA 2000 programs, an interface is required between the NMEA 2000 network and the PC.}
