Wireless Sensor Suite and Flexible Installation

The outdoor sensor suite houses temperature and humidity sensors within a passive radiation shield, along with a rain collector and a combined wind speed and direction anemometer. The entire suite is built with rugged, weather-proof housing designed to withstand years of exposure to the elements. For optimal siting, the anemometer can be mounted up to 40 feet (12 metres) away from the rest of the sensor suite, allowing you to position it at the highest or most unobstructed point available.

Comprehensive Weather Measurements

Beyond the core readings of wind, temperature, humidity, pressure, and rain, the Vantage Pro2 calculates a range of derived values that are invaluable for planning and safety. Heat index, dew point, and high/low records are all available directly on the console. For users who want even more environmental insight, Davis offers optional solar and UV radiation sensors as well as a fan-aspirated radiation shield, which can be added to expand the station's capabilities.
