Complete Onboard Video Observation for Canadian Boaters
The Raymarine CAM300 transforms your Axiom chartplotter into a full-featured video observation system. Whether you need to keep an eye on the cockpit, monitor the engine room, or record fishing action, this mini day/night IP camera delivers high-definition imagery directly to your multifunction display. Its ultra-wide 160° horizontal field of view captures expansive coverage from a single compact camera, reducing the number of units needed to cover critical areas of your vessel.
Day and Night Visibility with Infrared Illumination
The CAM300 features a mechanical IR cut-out filter that provides true day/night operation. During daylight hours, the camera delivers full-colour HD video. As light levels drop, six 850 nm infrared emitters activate automatically, providing clear near-field visibility up to 10 metres (33 ft). This makes the CAM300 well-suited for overnight passages, monitoring anchor watches, or checking on below-deck spaces where ambient light is limited.
Flexible Installation Options
The CAM300's ultra-compact eyeball design allows the entire camera ball to rotate within its housing, giving you precise control over the viewing angle. Image flip and invert functions support both ball-up (upright) and ball-down (inverted) mounting orientations, as well as reverse video applications for rear-facing cameras. The camera can be powered via a direct 12V DC connection or through a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable, which carries both data and power to simplify cable runs—particularly useful in tight or hard-to-reach installations.
- Through-surface or above-surface cable routing options
- Supplied with mounting screws, waterproof gasket, hex wrench, and 670 mm fitted cable with RJ45 and power connectors
- No separate grounding required—fully insulated design
Multi-Camera Viewing and Recording
A single Axiom display can show up to four CAM300 video streams simultaneously, allowing you to monitor multiple zones from one screen. Each individual CAM300 feed can be displayed on up to three compatible Raymarine multifunction displays at the same time. Video can be recorded directly through the Axiom's Video app for later playback, with approximately 140 minutes of recording available per 1 GB of storage at factory default settings.
ClearCruise Augmented Reality Integration
When paired with the optional Raymarine AR200 sensor and a compatible Axiom display running LightHouse 4 (version 4.1 or above), the CAM300 enables ClearCruise augmented reality features. AIS targets, waypoints, and chart objects are overlaid directly on the live video feed, helping you make smarter navigation decisions by correlating real-world visuals with chart data. This is especially valuable in busy shipping lanes, congested harbours, or when navigating unfamiliar Canadian coastal waters.
Rugged Marine-Grade Construction
Built to withstand the harsh marine environment, the CAM300 carries an IPx6 waterproof rating suitable for both above- and below-deck installations. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range, making it appropriate for Canadian boaters who face everything from summer heat to early-season cold snaps. The compact form factor—just 59.5 mm base diameter and 52.9 mm height—blends discreetly with your vessel's profile.
Compatibility and Network Integration
The CAM300 is compatible with a broad range of Raymarine multifunction displays including the Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro, Axiom XL, eS Series, gS Series, and others running LightHouse 2 (R12 or later), LightHouse 3 (3.0 or later), or LightHouse 4 (4.1 or later). ONVIF Profile S conformance also allows integration with third-party security systems and applications. Network connections use standard RJ45 Ethernet or RayNet adapters, and the camera supports H.264 dual-stream video processing for efficient bandwidth use.
