Propspeed Foulfree™ is a specialized foul-release coating developed specifically to prevent marine growth from attaching to sonar transducers. Fouling on the face of a transducer can significantly reduce sensitivity and signal clarity, leading to weaker bottom readings and unreliable fish targets. Foulfree helps keep the transducer surface clean so your electronics continue to perform as intended.
The clear coating forms a smooth, slick surface that marine growth cannot easily adhere to. Unlike traditional antifouling products, Foulfree does not rely on biocides or toxins. Instead, it works through foul-release technology, allowing growth to be discouraged without harming the surrounding marine environment.
Foulfree has been tested and certified by AIRMAR, confirming that when applied correctly, it results in no loss of transducer performance or signal strength. This makes it safe for use on modern depth sounders and fish-finding equipment.
A single application provides a minimum of 12 months of protection, with even longer service life commonly achieved in cooler waters. The coating does not dry out or lose effectiveness when the boat is hauled out or stored ashore.

Trade-offs / Limitations:
Foulfree is engineered exclusively for transducers. It is not suitable for use on propellers, shafts, struts, rudders, or other running gear. For metal underwater components, Propspeed’s dedicated metal coating systems should be used instead. The 15 ml kit is intended only for small surface areas and is not economical for coating larger components.
