The Airtronic D6L Kit comes complete with everything required for installation and is suitable for sailboats between 39 and 49 feet and powerboats between 32 and 42 feet.

The Airtronic D6L model offers a range of four thermal outputs to match your onboard heating needs closely. From a Low 4,100 BTU output to the "Boost" level of 20,400 BTUs, the Eberspaecher D6L Heater is compact, convenient, economical to run, and time-tested for safety - with over 40 years of successful installations.

With power boat installations, the Eberspaecher Air Heater is normally installed in the engine area with hot air ducted to the cabins via flexible tubes. All you see are the discreet outlets in the cabins. Diesel fuel can be drawn either directly from the main diesel tank, with the included fuel metering pump, or if you have a gasoline engine, it is recommended to use a separate tank to hold the diesel. The heater's fuel usage is such that only a small tank is needed.

With space, a premium in a sailboat, the compact size of an Eberspaecher D6 unit reflects this with the heater usually being fit in a stern/cockpit locker, and the exhaust being led away to the transom. The warm air duct system is led to the cabins behind panels and through interior lockers. All that can be seen are the outlets in berth/seating fascia. The ducts are kept as short as possible to maintain efficient airflow. As ducts pass through interior lockers, natural surface heat loss creates useful drying compartments. This surplus heat is also doing much for heating those hidden corners beneath the cabin floors. Fuel is drawn from the main diesel tank, and the actual consumption is so small that it does not materially affect the fuel capacity carried for the engine.

A 12 Volt battery connection is necessary to drive the initial ignition, fuel system and main air fan; however, the heater is designed to offer a balance of economic electrical draw with optimum heat and airpower performance.
