The Binnacle is proud to offer Olimpic Optimist sails, imported directly from Olimpic in Italy. We offer or Canadian customers relief from the 16% Duty "surprise" when importing sails from the US.
These sails include the Measurement Certificate and each sail comes with CAN applied at the loft. The Sail Numbers can be applied by The Binnacle for a $25.00 fee, so please include the CODA Sail Number in the Comment section when "Checking Out".

The RED model needs no introduction: it is the most well-known and the easiest to use, the winner of many world championships.
The HAPPY was developed by Olimpic in 2013, in association with the legendary trainer for the Singapore national team, Fernando "Happy" Alegre, and is for sailors weighing between 37 and 42 kg. This sail offers a perfect fusion of power and twist, making for comfortable close hauling and excellent performance when running downwind.
GOLD and the PLATINUM-M are new-generation sails that have recently been fine-tuned thanks to tests and clinics undertaken with the best sailors and instructors at a worldwide level who have confirmed the technical perfection we have designed into these sails.
GOLD is recommended for sailors of light-to-medium weight, while the PLATINUM-M is recommended for those over 45 kg in weight. Both offer broader entry and optimized geometry to provide maximum area when sailing downwind; the radial sheet and new fabric ensure the highest performance for this easy-to-use sail on all points of sail and in all conditions.
The Olimpic Sails sail loft was founded in 1980 by Claudio Demartis, Mauro Parladori, and Roberto Bertocchi, who brought together their common passion for sailing. The first loft covered a mere 150 square meters, and the second 600 square meters, while the surface area of the present plant, inaugurated in 2001, covers 2,400 square meters. The history of Veleria Olimpic Sails is full of results and successes; successes deriving from the constant research and development undertaken within the sail loft and from the presence of members of its staff in regattas around the world.
Today Olimpic One Design is surely the most well-known Italian sail loft worldwide.
