Spartite 2000 Kit #1 Small 51 cubic in.
Spartite 2000 is the modern answer to the ancient problem of mast support and sealing at the partners. Spartite 2000 is a pre-measured two part polymer poured into the cavity between the mast and the partners while the mast is in the boat. Kit #1 fills 51 cubic inches, and is designed for sailboats under 40' feet in overall length (as a general guide). Spartite is available in only one formula, Spartite 2000, for both race and cruise boats of any size.
Each kit comes with complete instructions and materials for the yard or owner to build a simple mold out of even the most complex partners or mast collar. Spartite 2000 makes a one piece perfect fitting mast chock that replaces archaic wedges.
The Spartite ring shrinks less than one thousandths of an inch and when installed properly will radically reduce or eliminate leaking at the partners. Spartite ensures secure and correct mast position in the partners all season and makes correct placement of the mast in the partners automatic whenever the mast is restepped.
This is an exceptional feature for racers who trailer to regattas, and sailors who remove their spars annually, and boats with unique rig placements. Racers, who like to move their mast fore and aft to adjust to conditions, can pour Spartite to fix the athwart ship position of the mast and allow space fore and aft for quick, easy adjustment by the addition or removal of spacers. Under sail, the one piece structure of Spartite elimates the problem of wedges falling out or moving.

To estimate the quantity of Spartite 2000 needed, measure the square inches or square centimeter area of the mast section, and then subtract that number from the square inch or square centimeter area of the partner opening. Multiply this number by the desired depth, which must be at least 2" (5 cm), then add 1/4" (7 mm). If you purchase too little, a further amount can always be mixed and added later.
Note: Size Large is also needed for all unstayed rigs under 40 feet, such as a Freedom or Nonsuch, or if you have an unusually large gap (over 1") between the mast and collar.
