FitzWright 30" Lifebuoy (2.5 kg) is a SOLAS- and Transport Canada-approved inherent buoyant lifebuoy designed for general man-overboard response on commercial and regulated vessels. It provides immediate, highly visible flotation and is suitable for use as a stand-alone lifering or in combination with a buoyant heaving line or MOB light, where permitted.

Manufactured by Peters + Bey GmbH (Germany) and branded by FitzWright, this lifebuoy forms part of the PB-Buoy series and complies with international life-saving appliance standards for vessels operating under inspection and carriage requirements.

• SOLAS & Transport Canada Type Approved: Certified under DNV Type Approval Certificate No. TALB0000046, compliant with SOLAS 74 (as amended), the LSA Code, the 2000 HSC Code, and Canadian TP14475E standards. Recognized by Transport Canada.
• 2.5 kg Approved Lifebuoy Class: Designed for standard, manual overboard deployment where a lighter, more manageable throw weight is preferred.

Limitations:

This 2.5 kg lifebuoy does NOT have sufficient mass to operate the quick-release arrangements used with self-igniting lights and self-activated smoke signals in bridge-wing installations. For those applications, a 4.2 kg SOLAS-approved lifebuoy must be used, as specified in the type approval documentation.
