Roam freely and safely with the GlobalFixTM iPRO Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB). When it comes to marine safety electronics, this EPIRB is in a class of its own.
The iPRO 2846.0 is a Category 1 EPIRB housed in a fully enclosed automatic release Sea Shelter Bracket.
A Category I beacon automatically deploys when a vessel sinks. The beacon floats free at a depth of 1.5 to 3.0 m (4.9' to 13.1'). The EPIRB can be manually activated while in its bracket or manually removed and activated.
The GlobalFix iPRO has a digital display that lets you view all of the beacon's functionalities, including GPS latitude/longitude, transmission bursts, and battery power.
The iPRO makes self-testing your beacon simple and easy to understand with the digital display visually walking you through the self-test step by step; no more relying on listening to beeps and LED.
The GlobalFixTM iPRO is also the first EPIRB that offers "Dual GPS Technology". You can interface the iPRO to your onboard GPS to ensure that your LAT/LON is stored inside so the coordinates are transmitted in the first data burst.
But, the iPRO's internal GPS is optimized for cold starts and is tested and refined at ACR's GPS Simulation Center so that it will pinpoint your exact location faster than standard GPS enabled EPIRB's.
