Effortless Fuel Transfer for Boaters and Beyond
The Tera Pump TRFA01 battery operated fuel transfer pump takes the heavy lifting out of refuelling. Whether you're topping up your boat's tank at the dock, fuelling a generator at the campsite, or filling outdoor power equipment in the yard, this pump lets you transfer fuel quickly and cleanly without tipping or pouring from heavy cans. Simply insert the intake tube into your fuel can, place the discharge hose into the receiving tank, and press the button to start pumping.
Patented Auto-Stop Technology
One of the standout features of the TRFA01 is its built-in patented auto-stop system. This function automatically detects when the receiving tank is full and shuts off the pump, helping to prevent overfilling, spills, and wasted fuel. It's a practical safety feature that gives you peace of mind, especially when fuelling in sensitive environments like marinas or near the water.
Versatile Compatibility with Standard Fuel Cans
The TRFA01 comes with a 3-pack of gas can adapters, making it compatible with a wide range of popular fuel can brands. It fits most standard fuel cans and works with the following brands:
- Scepter
- Briggs & Stratton
- No-Spill
- Midwest
Flexible Hose Design for Hands-Free Operation
The pump features a flexible 39-inch (1 m) discharge hose and an 18-inch (460 mm) intake tube, giving you plenty of reach to connect your fuel can to the receiving tank. A built-in locking clip secures the nozzle onto the receiving receptacle, allowing for true hands-free operation. This is especially useful when you're working alone at the dock or in tight spaces aboard your vessel.
Suitable Fluids and Applications
The TRFA01 is designed to handle a variety of common fuels and fluids, making it a versatile addition to your marine toolkit or garage.
- Gasoline
- Diesel
- Kerosene
- Light oils
- Non-potable water
Important Fluid Restrictions
This pump is not compatible with drinking water, thinners, solvents, hot liquids, acetone, benzene, creosol, ethyl, phenol, methyl ethyl, concentrated caustic liquid soda, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, or similar aggressive chemicals. Always consult the operation manual before transferring any fluid not listed as compatible.
Battery Powered Convenience
The TRFA01 runs on four AA batteries (not included), so there are no cords, no charging, and no complicated setup. Simply load the batteries and you're ready to pump. The duty cycle is rated at 5 minutes of run time followed by 10 minutes of rest, which helps protect the motor and extend the life of the pump. The operating temperature range of 5°C to 45°C (40°F to 113°F) makes it suitable for use throughout the Canadian boating season.
Considerations for Canadian Boaters
For Canadian boaters, the TRFA01 is a practical solution for refuelling at the dock, especially when shore-based fuel pumps aren't available or when you need to top up from portable fuel cans. Its compact size and battery-powered operation make it easy to stow aboard or keep in the truck for trips to the marina. During the off-season, store the pump with batteries removed in a dry location to protect it from cold-weather damage.
